9/11: We (Still) Need Not Fear

September 11, 2007 / by passtheword

Since this is the anniversary of 9/11, I thought I'd put a link to an article I wrote some months back. At the time, Al-Qaida had just put out another one of those propaganda videos. And, now that it's six years to the day those attacks happened, they have once again decided that an additional video is necessary. Of course, we all know what's behind all of that. The word that encompasses all of this hatred, is, after all, "terrorism", and that's what they want to create in the American people: terror.

As I previously said before, there is nothing that Al-Qaida (or anyone else can do) without God's knowledge. God was still in charge on September 11, 2001, just as He is on September 11, 2007. He is the Almighty God who "was, is, and will be forever". We have nothing to fear because it's all in God's hands. The scriptures tell us so. Here's what the Bible tells us in Psalms 46:1-3:

God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.
Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way
and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging.
