Be Thankful

Yesterday, I heard a news story about a school bus here in Alabama which overturned on an interstate overpass. It was taking a load of teens to a school function. A car sideswiped it, possibly striking the bus, causing it to crash, head-first, into the street below. There were about 34 people on that bus, and two died at the scene. Another child died later at the hospital. Most, if not all, of the remaining children are in intensive care.


We always hear how precious life is, and it really is. It's really so sad this happened, especially at Thanksgiving, when everyone is preparing for the holidays. We never know when we or our loved ones are going to leave this earth. We ought to have an attitude every day of just telling God how thankful we are for allowing us to live another day, that we have our families with us, and they're alive and well. Some people aren't so fortunate. They'll end the day without a spouse or children (or both) because of the unthinkable happening, just as what occurred with this school bus a couple of days ago.


When you're having Thanksgiving this week, remember to give thanks to God for His many blessings.
